We have a confirmed location for the CQ Worldwide DX Contest beginning at 5:00 PM (Tucson time)on Friday October 24, 2008 and ending at 5:00 PM (Tucson time) on Sunday, October 26, 2008.

We are using Owen Watson, AK7AR's ranch... or what he like to affectionately call the "Death Cult Militia Compound." There is tons of land and not much interference as it is literally out in the middle of the desert and surrounded by BLM land.

Go past Pima Mine Road (Desert Diamond Casino Exit)
Take the Sahuarita Road Exit
go West on Helmet Peak Rd until you hit Mission Rd
Go North on Mission Road
Go West on Octillo Ranch Road it becomes Calle Uno
1st Property on the North after the cattle guard

We will be monitoring RST analog and digital repeaters.

We will have full Internet service at this location thanks to the 1.2 GHz D-Star system on Lemmon and B of A!

This is a major contest lasting 48 hours. We will be running several club stations and encourage you to join us for all or any part of the contest. This is an HF contest, so we will be running bands (depending on propagation) like 10, 15, 20, 40, 75 and 160. This is HF phone only.

This is a great chance for new hams to come out and operate some HF. Of course, seasoned hams know you can join us as always.
