We will be having a Field Day "Summit" on Thursday, April 24 at 7:00 PM. It will be at Old Chicago located at Campbell and Blackledge. RST WILL PAY FOR ALL PIZZA AND SOFT DRINKS!

This summit is for all those that have agreed to help with coordination, execution and planning of field day. If you have not volunteered or been asked to help out, you are also welcome to join
us. We will plan out every detail of Field Day and make it the best and most organized event ever! We will be holding Field Day again up on Mt. Lemmon near Radio Ridge once again this year. Field Day is June 28-29, 2008.

We plan on being an 9A operation this year, plus running a GOTA station for a total of 10.

Here are a few "MUST HAVE" positions not already filled:

1. Talk-in station operators - We need at least 3 to take shifts. We need to direct people up onto the mountain. We will run a talk-in station on both analog and D-Star.

2. Someone to operate satellites. (that would give us some bonus points)

3. Someone to line up a public official (and make sure they show up) to visit the Field Day site - this gives us bonus points.

4. Someone to create media press-releases and PERSONALLY deliver them to the broadcast stations. Faxing or mailing guarantees one thing...
they end up in the circular file.

5. Someone to design, print and hang LARGE Field Day banners that let the public know what is going on.

I know we will have more after the meeting. PLEASE plan to attend.

Field Day is our biggest event of the year and we scored HUGE last year. Make no mistake, this is a VERY competitive event. However, it is also a very fun event and is always memorable!

WE NEED YOU!!! We hope to see a big crowd there!
