We have a confirmed location for the CQ Worldwide DX Contest beginning at 5:00 PM (Tucson time)on Friday October 24, 2008 and ending at 5:00 PM (Tucson time) on Sunday, October 26, 2008. We are using Owen Watson, AK7AR's ranch... or what he like to affectionately call the "Death Cult Militia Compound." RST once again has won a MAJOR ARRL contest. RST placed first in the Arizona section of the ARRL VHF/UHF contest. The award certificate is posted on the link below. This is a MAJOR accomplishment! Arizona is not the easiest place to work a contest like this. Other than Tucson and Phoenix, there is little population in the state or nearby. RST was the top contesting operation in the entire state of Arizona! If you are on the east or west coasts, you have a tremendous population and tend to score extremely high in these contests. Again, congratulations to the champs, RST! |

Hey everyone! The RST Club did it again! We had an incredible showing in the ARRL June VHF QSO Party for 2008! We scored 52,192 with nearly 400 QSO's. We are now warmed up for Field Day which comes up in 2 weeks! |

The 7QP (7th Call Area QSO Party) at the Titan Missile Museum was a huge success last weekend! In our estimation, we had over 100 people stop by to visit us. Many saw it on TV, some saw it in the paper and others heard about it elsewhere. We even had one person from Phoenix and another from Scottsdale come down specifically to operate on that antenna. The monster discone antenna performed amazingly! The director of the museum said she was well over 100 paid admissions HIGHER than this same Saturday last year. RST Club definitely had a huge impact! There were several reasons people came to visit. |
